Graduate Research, Assignment 4: Data Description and Interpretation.
For the crosstabulation below, what was the percentage of positive outcomes for
those who received the intervention? How many of the total group had
"Not Positive" outcomes? Describe whether there is a
relationship between receiving the intervention and a successful outcome. Give
your reasons for saying there is or is not a relationship. If there is a
relationship, discuss the nature of the relationship and how strong it is.
Indicate what inferences, if any, you make from the data. If you do not think
there is a relationship, describe what evidence would have to be present to
conclude there is a relationship and indicate what inferences you would make if
the relationship were significant. Discuss any difficulties that you see
present in making an inference from the data. The grade will be based on the
accuracy of your description, the appropriateness of your inferences, and any
special difficulties in the interpretation that you identify. One to two pages.
