Key Article

An article or book chapter is key for your project if it provides many references to other publications. A review article or an examination of a relevant controversy can fit the bill well. The goal is to find a publication that moves you well towards being able to say: “I know what others have done before that informs and connects with my project.” In that light, an article is not key simply because it affirms your gut feelings about the topic or gives you a few entry points for research.
