Interpreting images in terms of ideas of nature as ideas about society
For each image:
1. We describe what is literally depicted or stated.
2. We try to expose what is only implicit, what is not literally depicted or stated.
3. We make interpretations of #1 in the form of ideas about the social order that is being defended or promoted.
(Afterwards, we think about why ideas of nature are used to defend or promote ideas about society. Is this always the case?)
