Teaching Experience

 

Currently, I am Assistant Professor in the College of Public and Community Service at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. The courses and competencies I teach are: the Sociological Imagination: Critical Inquiry and Dimensions of Learning; Sociology of Oppression: Critical Readings, Social Difference; Literacy for Social Change: Community Needs & Resource Analysis; Strategy & Proposal Development; Public and Community Action; Writing with Confidence; Latina Women in the U.S. (cross-listed with Women’s Studies/ Latino Studies).

 

In June 2000 and June 2001, I was an Instructor at the Management & Community Development Institute at Tufts University in Medford, MA.

 

From March 1993 to December 1998, I was a Lecturer at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

 

From January 1996 to June 1997, I was an Assistant Professor in the Applied Social Science Program at Lasell College in Newton, MA.
