Above we see three vase painters at work. The one on the left is painting an image of Athena based on the model standing in front of him. The one in the middle is painting the goddess Nikê (Victory1). Note that the presence of a female vase painter (on the right) is evidence that a woman (free or slave?) could get a job as a skilled worker.
